I've had real experience of what it's like to run a business that looks successful on the outside, but feels like survival mode on the inside because you're holding an entire business together with your bare hands.

In a past life, I ran a creative product business for seven years, selling thousands of handmade cards, gifts + stationery through retailers like Not On The High Street. At the time, I didn’t realise it only worked because I was endlessly pouring myself into it.

Then life pulled the rug from under me.
I became a first-time mum during the pandemic to a child with ongoing, complex health needs. I tried to keep the same pace anyway but I burned out spectacularly. I'd built a business that could not function without me.
